Rod Campbell is the bestselling author and illustrator of books for very young children. He has written dozens of picture books including the famous and much-loved DEAR ZOO.

You want to buy books for your children, but you find it a nightmare to wade through the hundreds that are published each year trying to find something age-appropriate, engaging, and a worth while experience for the child. I think it's a problem shared by all parents who believe in the value books bring to children. I think MSBC are doing a great job because they preselect just the sort of books you would be looking for yourself, and you can have confidence that your child will love them and benefit from them.

Jacqueline Wilson is a multi-award-winning author, best known for books for older girls tackling challenging subjects. She was the Children's Laureate 2005-2007.

I think My School Book Club sounds excellent. There are so many new and exciting books coming out and it's very difficult to keep up with them all (plus remembering all our special old favourites that we'd like to share with our children!) This book club is a brilliant way of accessing 60 fantastic titles each month. It offers a wide selection of popular and prize-winning authors so that every child can find the perfect book for them and discover the joys of reading.

Michael Morpurgo was the Children's Laureate from 2003 to 2005. Formerly a schoolteacher, Michael is the best-selling author of over 100 books for children of all ages.

Children do plenty of reading at school, of course, but I think it's so important that they enjoy reading at home, too. My School Book Club is probably the best way for schools to encourage that. The range of books in all age groups is really well chosen. The website is encouragingly simple to use, and the success of the club adds free books to the school library, without any extra work by teachers. All in all, it's a fine idea, I hope you'll agree.
