There are so many new and exciting books coming out and it's very difficult to keep up with them all (plus remembering all our special old favourites that we'd like to share with our children!) Children do plenty of reading at school, of course, but I think it's so important that they enjoy reading at home, too. My School Book Club is probably the best way for schools to encourage that. The website is encouragingly simple to use, and the success of the club adds free books to the school library, without any extra work by teachers. All in all, it's a fine idea, I hope you'll agree.
